The DATS Fall Class of 2018 celebrated with their friends and families, Tuesday, May 15, 2018, as they received their certificates to be Certified Dental Assistants in the state of Texas.
Cheryl Dosal, program coordinator, welcomed the graduates and guests and introduced Dr. Juan D. Villarreal, CEO and Founder of DATS and Harlingen Family Dentistry. Dr. Villarreal stated that Dentistry is constantly evolving with new technology and dental providers are constantly learning in order to provide the most-up-to-date dental care for their patients. He emphasized that no matter where you are born and raised, you can accomplish anything you can envision with hard work and persistence.
The Lead instructor, Dr. Vivian Teegardin, assisted by dental assistants, Sandra Cantu, Rosemary Aguinaga and Ofilia Espinosa, congratulated the graduates on their completion of the DATS Program and encouraged them to continue their focus on excellence and life-long learning.
The Keynote speaker, Dr. Glenn Thomason, spoke to the graduates about what to base their lives on: something to believe in, someone to love, something to hope for and something to do with passion. He also stressed three important elements for a happy and fulfilled life: Trust, Commitment and Love. Dr. Thomason commended the group and encouraged them to become familiar with the various specialties within Dentistry and to move forward with their dental assisting careers.
Refreshments were served and enjoyed by all.
